    • Earthquake Safety
      • Anchor heavy appliances and furniture such as water heaters, refrigerators and bookcases
      • Stay indoors and hide in strongly secured room. Put hands over head for head protection
      • Turn off all electrical devices including lamps to ensure no fires
      • Have an earthquake readiness plan.
      • Have all family members stick together
      • Make sure all walls in house are safely secured especially make sure roof is proper and is strong
      • Learn to drop and cover
    • Earthquake Prepardness
      • Move heavy furniture, such as bookcases, away from beds, couches, and other places where people sit or sleep.
      • Make sure that exit paths are clear
      • Repair defective electrical wiring, leaky gas lines, and inflexible utility connections
      • Hold earthquake drills with your family members
      • Get to the lowest part of the house such as a basement
      • Don’t panic, and listen to the person who is leading you
      • Make sure all doors are securely closed
    • Earthquake Safety Kit
      • Create a first aid kit with basic supplies including bandages, cotton balls and any essential medications.
      • Have emergency supplies of food such as canned food and water
      • Add extra clothes. You'll want to make sure that you have warm
      • clothes for each member of the family in case you end up sleeping
      • outside.
      • Emergency battery or phone to call for help.
      • Keep matches or lighter to see in the dark.
      • Also if needed buy helmets to insure no head injuries and no concussions
