Webcasting in Education has become a very important tool.<br />Teachers find webcasting to be very useful for give examples and demonstrations.<br />For examples a P.E. teacher could use webcasting to give a demonstration of a skill such as double Dutch jump roping. <br />Webcasting in Education<br />

  3. 3. All of the following are considered important skills: Hardware, Internet Applications, Programming, Software, and Networking.<br />For students to be able to fix and work computers to full capacity these are all skills you need to know.<br />Skills Article<br />
  4. 4. Working with/on hardware could include printers or scanners.<br />Another skill needed would be using software. Software would include using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, as well as games that come in software form.<br />Skills Article #2<br />
  5. 5. I feel that it is a good idea to teach students basic computer skills. So that when they get in higher education that they have all the skills that are needed.<br />All of these skills are very important in college classes because they are very technology based.<br />Skills Article Reflection<br />
  6. 6. Lower Costs<br />In this article they talk about how teaching through webcast is cheaper than in an actual classroom. <br />Some of the things that come up are how “everyone” has access to a computer that they can access for free and in most cases there are no books needed for a <br />
  7. 7. Another argument educators have for webcasting would be for the administrators. <br />Administrators say that webcasting is great because of conflicting schedules for meetings.<br />When they can be done face-to-face on the TV. it makes it way more convenient.<br />Lower Costs #2<br />
  8. 8. I feel that webcasting in education is important if it works for the person. If a person does not like technology than they will not find webcasting convenient.<br />I think that it is also good for the classroom but I think that a site such as youtube.com needs to be monitored so that nothing in appropriate gets shown to a class.<br />Lower Costs Reflection<br />
  9. 9. Webcasting in General<br />Wedcasting is just broadcasting of the internet either live or on demand.<br />Webcasting is growing very quickly on the internet.<br />It is anything from the live news to watching music videos.<br />
  10. 10. Webcasting in general<br />I think that since this is such a wide range of information on webcasting that it can be used by anyone.<br />
