DotNetNuke <ul><li>For nearly 20 years, the general public has had access to the internet, and many, many websites. </li></ul><ul><li>Evolution of these sites has been slow due to technical challenges. </li></ul><ul><li>DotNetNuke is a new web content management system that makes it easier then ever to design content-rich websites with high levels of interactivity. </li></ul>
  3. 3. History <ul><li>Shaun Walker develops beta software as an add-on to IBuySpy software. DotNetNuke is born. </li></ul><ul><li>In September of 2006, Shaun Walker and partners found DotNetNuke Corporation, release free open-source version. </li></ul><ul><li>February 2009 – Professional version released. </li></ul><ul><li>September 2009 – Open-source version passes 6,000,000 downloads. </li></ul>

Purpose <ul><li>DotNetNuke allows for anyone to create and adjust customizable websites and web applications. </li></ul><ul><li>Consider it to be like the BlackBoard software suite, but for anything . </li></ul><ul><li>Additionally, can support multiple domains under a single portal. </li></ul>
