    • Jeffrey Dahmer A tragedy
    • There were many infamous killers that were at the peak of their killing spree in the 70’s-90’s

      • May 21, 1960-November 28, 1994
      • Convicted of murdering 17 men& boys
      • Most of them were either African or Asian
      • Jeffrey brought about tragedy to many lives with particularly gruesome murders involving rape, torture, dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism.
    • Early Years
      • Born in West Allis, Wisconsin.
      • Was withdrawn and unsocial during early teens.
      • Bike around looking for dead animals to dissect.
      • Became an alcholic by high school graduation.
    • Leading up
      • Dropped out of college, then moved in with his grandmother in 1982.
      • For the next 6 years, he became increasingly strange.
      • i.e. male mannequin, gun, dead squirells, indecent exposure, public masturbation.
    • Murders
      • He began of string of murders that ended with his arrest in 1991.
      • Usually picked them up at gay bars.
      • On May 30, 1991, he drugged and raped a 14 year old boy. He was found by two women on the street naked, drugged up, and bleeding from the rectum.
      • Although the police were called, they gave the boy back to Dahmer.
      • By summer 1991, he was murdering a person a week.
    • Arrest
      • On July 22, 1991 Dahmer tried to kill Tracy Edwards, but he escaped and called the police.
      • The police searched his house and found several corpses in acid filled containers, skulls, and signs of necrophilia and cannibalism.
    • Trial
      • He pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
      • He was found guilty and sentenced to 15 life sentences, because that was notorious enough for them to reduce 2 years(957 years in prison).
    • Death
      • While in prison on November 28, 1994, Dahmer and Jesse Anderson were beaten to death by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver with a bar from the weight machine.
      • His brain was used for studies.
