      • De humani corporis fabrica libri septem helped people in the medical field progress their knowledge much more broadly. It was created in 1543 in order to create a more detailed dissection chart of the human body to more properly convey the properties of the human body. Also Vesalius had this project published when he was just 28, a young age for an illustration of this magnitude. We chose this particular piece of artwork due to its extreme importance in medical illustrative history. This particular piece of artwork was found on wikipedia.com
      • Vitruvian Man was a illustration depicting the very essence of the human body. It was created in 1492 by Leonardo da Vinci, da Vinci emphasized the geometric relativity of the universe and in mathematics when compared to the human body. We chose this particular piece due to this pieces ability to truly capture the imagination of its viewers. This piece of art was found on wikipedia.com Also this piece is known around the world as one of the most recognizable pieces of art ever.
      • Bartolomeo Eustachi created Tabulae anatomicae and it was considered to be one of the most detailed works during its time. His method of displaying the human body being dissected was truly amazing and extremely unique. Instead of the more traditional way of illustration, Eustachi used engravings to convey his thoughts. We chose this particular piece due to its unique way of being presented.
      • Henry gray is known for his work on Grey’s Anatomy . This anatomy book shows the most minute details within the human body. Even today it is considered to be one of the greatest works of all time when considering anatomy. This is the particular reason why we choose Gray’s anatomy as our illustration of choice. Not only did Gray’s work have a significant effect on past medical fields, it still remains as one of the most highly regarded anatomy books for up and coming medical students to use throughout the course of their studies. Gray’s anatomy was first publically shown in the US in 1878. We chose this particular piece due to its extreme importance in the medical industry and the overall effect its had on this particular industry.
