  4. 4. Romania <ul><li>Romania has its unique culture, which is the product of its geography and of its distinct historical evolution. One of the most representative places from Romania is the Danube Delta, well known for its fauna and flora and for the fact that it’s the second largest river delta in Europe, after the Volga Delta, and it’s the best preserved on the continent. </li></ul>

  9. 9. <ul><li>Another place worth visiting is Maramures for its beautiful rural scenery, local small woodwork and craftwork industry as well as for its churches and original rural architecture. Deep in the Carpathian Mountains, in the heart of rural Romania in Transylvania, commonly known as &quot;Dracula's Castle”, the Bran Castle, is situated. </li></ul>

  15. 15. <ul><li>Romanian Orthodox monasteries and churches exist throughout Romania but, traditionally, few are constructed on a monumental scale. In Northern Moldavia a particular style was used in the construction of the monasteries, of which the most important are the painted monasteries of Bucovina - UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as those of Moldoviţa, Putna, Suceviţa, and Voroneţ. </li></ul>

  25. 26. <ul><li>Often regarded as the most famous and influential Romanian poet, Mihai Eminescu had a heavy word in our culture. His poems span a large range of themes, from nature and love to hate and social commentary. He is also considered the ‘godfather of the modern Romanian language’. </li></ul>
  26. 27. <ul><li>You can also admire famous sculptures such as Gate of the Kiss, The endless column and Table of Silence, made by our internationally renowned Romanian sculptor, Constantin Brancusi. </li></ul>

Pork is the main meat used in Romanian cuisine, especially in winter periods. Wine is the main drink and has a tradition of over two millennia.   28. 29. Fetesti <ul><li>Fete şti is a city and municipality in Ialomiţa County, Romania, with a population of 34,076. It is located in the Bărăgan plain, on the Borcea branch of the Danube. Fetesti has the second largest population in Ialomita, after Slobozia. </li></ul>
  29. 30. <ul><li>In 1895, the King Carol I railway Bridge was built across the Danube to Cernavodă. A newer one was built in the 1980s as part of the Bucharest-Constanţa highway. </li></ul><ul><li>In the course of time, Fetesti has evolved from a commercial village to a very important transport knot and industrial center, vital to the Romanian economy. </li></ul>
  30. 32. “Carol I” High School <ul><li>In September 1943 the school was actually built, its first class having 41 students. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1960, a new building was available for the General School no. 7. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1964, the high school broke up with his classes in the current learning of the local School CCF </li></ul><ul><li>In 1956 works were completed at the current premises with 17 classrooms. </li></ul>
  31. 33. In the summer of 1977 the high school profile was changed from Industrial High School to a CCF High School belonging to the Ministry of Transport. After the 1989 the highschool was transformed into atheoretical one with the following major subjects: mathematics-computer studies, natural sciences, philology and social and human sciences. This educational establishment has become, in 2003, a representative high school for the Fetesti-Tandarei area.
