J. kofsky interracial_relationships Presentation Transcript

  • 1. The Consequences of Interracial Relationships
    By
    John Kofsky
  • 2. Pros
There are plenty of positives too go along with the negatives such as:
    Possibly learning another language
    Being exposed to another country
Learning the general knowledge of different cultures
Becoming open minded to other cultures
Help break down racial barriers which exist in today’s society.
  • 3. On the Contrary
Interracial relationships are growing faster diluting the world’s many cultures.
Two or more races combine together creating a new culture diminishing what is left of the previous cultures.
The effect of this is the lack of identity and individuality of each culture.
  • 4. Sooner or later the entire earth will become one super race, stealing the ethnic backgrounds of each individual culture.
Being in a interracial relationship can take its toll on the psyche of that individual because of the abuse he or she might receive from outsiders.
  • 5. Growth
    Interracial relationships rapidly growing
  • 6. Where
  • 7. The Children
Another point I would like to touch on is the psychological and emotional negatives that it can have on multiracial children.
It can be very challenging growing up in today’s society as a multiracial adolescence. They grow up without a sense of who they are, or who their ancestors are, or even where they come from.
They are often subject to the prejudice of others by all races.
  • 8. Conclusion
Through the extensive research that I have done, I have come to the conclusion that the cons out weigh the pros. I am not saying that we should prohibit interracial relationships, I am simply making you aware of the damages they may cause to people and more importantly the degradation of cultures as a whole.
