• 1. Film Production roles
There are many specific roles involved in making a film. As a group my team had to assign different roles between us. In the making a film, the team is responsible as a whole for developing the script and the story.
Below I have listed some of the main roles needed in producing a film;
Director : Responsible for creating the vision of the film
Actor / Actress : An actor or actress is a person who acts in a dramatic production and who works in film in that capacity
Art director : Responsible for the sets, costume and make-up
Production designer : Responsible for the location and the feel of the film
Editor : Responsible for editing all the individual shots into scenes and then making this into a cohesive story.
Producer : Responsible for overseeing the film and making sure everything get completed
Director of photography : Responsible for the lighting and ensuring the wishes of the director are carried out in relation to the filming (angles, movement, shots)
Screenwriter : Are people in a film crew who write/create the screenplays from which films and television programs are made.
