I Think My Finished System Is Very Good As It Has A Simple Gui And User Interface - Presentation Transcript
I think my finished system is very good as it has a simple GUI and
user interface, adding the client to the database is very simple and
straight forward, data is protected by a logon page with usernames
and hidden passwords, after the client has been added to the
database a carbon calculation can be made using simple information
obtained by questioning the client, after there carbon emissions for
the annum has been calculated they are automatically added to the
database and a comparison between two results can be made and
improvements will be shown, navigating through records is simple
and straight forward and I have written a search for simple access to
a desired record. I have also made the interface very simple and
aesthetically pleasing.
Improvements that could make my system better include a function
that sends the results in an email to the client and the greener and
cleaner business, also an array could be added to store information
used in the calculations, so that integers can be easily changed if
there is need for change in calculations (I.E there was a mistake in
the government statistics)
The good thing about using a self made program for the business is ,
it looks the part of the business, its very simple to use compared to
complicated databases and separate spreadsheets filled with
numbers for calculation - using a program made for the business its
as simple as entering your information into the program and
pressing a few buttons. Much simpler than going through different
documents then having manually enter information from one
program to another.
Another good thing about a standalone program is the fact that
validation can be and has been added, this will prevent any
accidental errors or intentional ones checking that postcodes are
valid, emails are valid, addresses are too long, phone numbers not
long enough, fields are not left blank - so much validation can be
added to make the program solid and try to prevent little mistypes or
errors as much as possible over all this saves a lot of time.
