Diego Armando Maradona was born on October 30 1960 in Buenos Aires, Argentina,
to a poor family. He is considered to be the best soccer player in all times because of his
natural talent, and also because he was a winner, champion.
His career:
Maradona become a star when he was 16 years old. He started to play in the team of
Buenos Aires. In 1987 at the age of 22 he was a bought by Barcelona for 4.5 million
dollars. He played in Barcelona for 2 years and won a cap of Spain.
In 1984 Napoli bought him for 7 million dollars (the record in this time).
In Napoli he led the team to winning the Italian championship twice, in 1987 and 1990.
In 1989 Napoli won the UEFA cap. This period of his life was the greatest for him, he
become famous and made a lot of fans on over the world (especially in Argentina),
there he got the name \"god\", that because of his goal against England. In the final,
quarter match of the 1986 FIFA World Cap between England and Argentina, he scored
with his hand! This goal got the name \"Hand of God Goal\".
The end of the career – The drugs and the retirement:
In the 1990s Maradona has had difficulties with cocaine abuse. Maradona was
suspended for 15 month in 1991 after he failed doping test for cocaine in Italy and then
again during the 1994 world cap in USA.
After his retire from playing when he was 37 in 1997 he suffered ill health and weight
gain, however a stomach stapling operation helped control his weight gain. Since
overcoming his cocaine addiction, he has become a TV nest in Argentina.
