LOCATION OF THE BRITISH ISLES The British Isles is a group of islands off the northwest coast of continental Europe. They are surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the English Channel, the Celtic Sea, St. George’s Channel, and the Irish Sea.

CONSTITUENT COUNTRIES OF THE BRITISH ISLES The British Isles comprise Great Britain, Ireland, and a number of smaller islands (Isle of Man and Channel Islands). The Republic of Ireland is a country in Europe. It shares the island of Ireland with Northern Ireland, a part of the United Kingdom.
Capital : Dublin.
