  • 1. The 9 characteristics of life.

  • 2. Living things adapt over time . When some living things can’t blend in, they get eaten. Butterflies can adapt over time. A shoe can’t adapt over time.
  • 3. All Living things are able to repair them selves if they get hurt. When a human gets hurts it is able to repair itself. When clothes get torn they can’t repair themselves.
  • 4. All living things can move , if they couldn’t move they would die. A snake can move if it didn’t move it would die. A shirt can’t move.
  • 5. If living things aren’t able to adapt to their surroundings they will die. A fish can adapt to it’s surroundings. A rock can’t adapt.
  • 6. All living things have limited life spans and eventually they will wear out and die. A flamingo has a limited life span. A guitar doesn’t.
  • 7. All living things reproduce and grow. A leopard reproduces and grows but a slingshot doesn’t.
  • 8. All living things require water and a source of energy. A cow needs water but a marker doesn’t.
  • 9. All living things are composed of cells that’s how they grow. A parrot grows but a hat doesn’t.
  • 10. Living things all have DNA and/or RNA. An owl has DNA and cinnamon sticks don’t.
