Slide 8: Stephen White I was born and raised in Chicago. I attended Julian High School and dropped out to pursue at “street” lifestyle. As a result, I was incarcerated for four years. After my incarceration I joined CeaseFire as a Violence Interrupter. Since 2005 I’ve participated in mediating over 20 conflicts in the Woodlawn Community. -- Stephan White 8

Slide 10: Bernard Baltimore I was gang affiliated at a very young age and only made it to the 11th grade. Shortly after being released from prison, I was introduced to CeaseFire. Now my plans are to go back to school for accounting and open a halfway house for guys who were formerly incarcerated. --Bernard Baltimore

Slide 12: Janell Sails I was born and raised in Chicago. After my early experience in witnessing drugs and gang violence, I decided to give back to my community by joining CeaseFire with the efforts to reduce violence in the West Englewood Community. --Janell Sails
