Significance of the research
the research may provide an alterative framework about the changes and response of the information behaviour of English teachers on Hong Kong. Furthermore, the research is to investigate the effectiveness on teachers ’ preference of using library, both the school and the public ones, with the development of information technology and the increasing popularity of the Internet.
This research may provide school leaders with insight for ICT development and relevant policymaking; the school leaders can also have a deeper understanding of the teachers ’ information searching behaviors so that appropriate assistance can be made accordingly. For example, how to enhance the library system in order to facilitate the use of it.
This research may help to explore whether using ICT to prepare lesson will enhance the effectiveness or create addition workload to teacher.
