  • 1. TRACKMANIA NATIONS FOREVER Jonas Nilsson Jonas@afab.org
  • 2. Under this course I have studied the free game Trackmania Nations Forever. I'm going to look on how they manage to build a such wonderful game with so many different play styles. Introduction
  • 3.  Easy game to learn  Only the arrow buttons are used to steer the vehicle  Building tool to create your own maps  Able to play it the easy way or the hard way  Different modes to play(laps, time attack)  Free!!
  • 4.  Trackmania is a game which you can play either solo or online.  Solo – Race against computes of different difficulties and win medals.  Online – Race against friends or other players from all over the world.  Both solo and online mode has a ranking system that gives you and overview on how well you are playing compared to others
  • 5.  Nadeos first thoughts of the game was to build a simple racing game with a simple interface. They started building a pure racing prototype and then added the puzzle into the game experience  The game building tool also has an easy interface and very simple to use. The tool itself can be compared to a Lego building game but now with obstacles and roads
  • 6.  Everyone plays the same model of a formula 1 car.  The cars are not tweakable becuase Nadeo want all the players to race under the same conditions.
  • 7.  The easy way of the game is focused to the causal players where you play the game cause its fun and challenging  You probably wont win a lot of matches but that’s not the point if you play it the casual way.  You play the game cause its fun and challenging and new tracks always gives a lot of new challenges The easy way
  • 8.  In the hard way you play the game to get the first position on the tracks  This is not easy and comes with a lot of training  The most important tool is power sliding/drifing around corners to take the curves as fast as possible The hard way
  • 9. If you want a game that is challenging and fun that can be played both easy and hard way I recommend this game. I have played this for a long while now and its one of my favorite games and I think you can compare the quality that this game gives you to many other racing games that you have to pay for.
