Another concept in troubleshooting practice is the ability to collect a lot of data constantly, store it, and review it later to diagnose the problem. No intervention is required at the time of the problem. Data must be setup ahead of time for collection, but this is thought out during the system design, and a large amount of variables my be collected for a machine, allowing for near 100% hit of the data required to diagnose a problem.
Review Trending: Section and Pen names at bottom - 10 pens maximum at any time Color coding of pens Value of each pen Timestamp of each log on graph Time per division Screen controls along top Color coded graph scaling along top and bottom of chart Zooming capability - in and out. Serves both Historical and Real-time modes No loss of data during historical searches Pen insert/delete options Scroll forward/backward options Much like a HUGE BRUSH RECORDER!!
Tabular Data Display Color Coded "Events" with 4 categories: Red - Alarms Blue - Warnings Green - Events Black - Controls Each defined event given a number Color block on left indicates on/off state ID Number and on/off state in English for non-color print applications Data/time of recorded event Message definable on job-by-job basis Recordable point at time of event and value of point Units of recordable point Real-time/Historical mode on one screen Sort/Filter capability on all events Export and Print functions Jump feature!!!
