commute
just down the street from home I get on Hetch Hetchy Trail..
starting down Hetch Hetchy Trail
7:00am

I hear the sounds of the
water below as I thumpity
thump thump across the
bridge

my morning friend…
we greet each other daily 5

a slough near the Bay
I hear the sound of birds
and watch the ground
squirrels
I avoid running over the
beautiful white-shelled
snails that crisscross the
trail

what a beautiful commute!
now fast-forward to 5:15pm
for the ride home……

5:15pm leave work – this is right behind the parking lot

the slough was calm this morning – now if I stop pedaling I will go
backwards or fall over because of the wind! 26

I’ll be done with my commute in about
5 minutes…
