Interview with Mr. Jake Bloomberg, Co-creator of The Great Tokkan - Presentation Transcript

    1. Mr. Jake Bloomberg Co-creator of the Great Tokkan book series
    2. When did your idea to come up with the Great Tokkan happen?
      • Well, I can’t take all the credit, but we came up with the idea over the 2009 summer, at camp. He was a counselor and I was a kid.
    3. Did you come up with the plan in five minutes or did you plan for a while?
      • We planned for quite a while. After we came up with the main idea, a kick-ass ninja superhero, we had to come up with the plot. At first I had planned to involve New York and the Statue of Liberty, but then we realized that that was cool, but completely irrelevant. We talked for about four days, then began outlining. Thus the story of the Great Tokkan was born.
    4. What was the hardest thing to come up with?
      • If I am being completely honest, the name. The super hero name is the most important part. We even had most of the other kids in the bunk, trying to help come up with a name, and fill in the blanks of the story.
    5. Did you or your co-creator actually write the book?
      • I did, but my co-creator is editing it, and he has drawn the cover, which illustrates the scene where has to try to kill the general.
    6. When you came home from camp and began writing, was a paper in front of you that said the entire plot?
      • There was a paper, but I had decided to add a couple of things in to add to the effect of the story.
    7. When you were planning the first book, did you ever think you would have a sequel?
      • I thought there might be a sequel. I have a habit of that when I am making books. These were by far the best, though. Did I think there would be a third and maybe a fourth book? Definitely not. After the way “The Great Tokkan: Origins” came out, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were five books in the series!
    8. Was it your idea to make the website or Nathan’s?
      • It was mine, but he has just as much power as me on making this website good. Speaking of which, if you are reading this, then it means you are on it. Feel free to explore the other pages.
    9. Any word on the finish of book two?
      • I can’t give a definite date right now. But, I am confident that it will be finished by April.
    10. Thanks for letting us talk to you, Jake.
      • No problem. It was my pleasure.
    11. Ladies, and gentlemen, Mr. Jake Bloomberg!
