  • 4. EXPRESSION: “KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD...” EXODUS 20:1-6 And God spake all these words, saying, …Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God,…And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

  • 7. WHEN WAS THE TEN COMMANDMENTS GIVEN TO ISRAEL? EXODUS 19:3, 4 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and [how] I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.  Would it be just for God to ask Israel to keep his commandments while they were under another master?
  • 8. EXODUS 19:5, 6 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people... LET’S REVISIT ISRAEL’S BONDAGE IN EGYPT EXODUS 20:1, 2 And God spake all these words, saying, I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. JEREMIAH 31:31-33 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

WHY AREN’T SOME CHRISTIANS ABLE TO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD?  Because they have been already drunk with Babylon’s wine 2 SAMUEL 11:13, 15 [David’s affair with Uriah] And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house. And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.

  • 25. WOULD YOU LIKE TO BECOME A PART OF GOD’S REMNANT PEOPLE? REVELATION 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. PSALMS 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
  • 26. CHARACTERISTICS: GOD’S REMNANT JOHN 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. PSALMS 119:105 Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  If his word is the lamp, why don’t you walk in its path?  If his word is the light, why don’t you search its pages for hidden truth?
