Mail your application & $40 fee to: Application Processing University of Maine System P.O. Box 412 Bangor, ME 04402-0412 Request official high school & college transcripts (or GED scores) to be sent to the address above.
  6. 6. apply for financial aid Submit the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Include a title IV code: USM 009762 UMA 006760 After your FAFSA is received by the federal aid processor, you will receive a student aid report (SAR). After admission to a degree program, the Financial Aid Office will send an award letter offering an aid package for the academic year.
  7. 7. schedule a placement test Call University College at 442-7736 to schedule a placement test designed to help you map your starting points in Reading, Writing and Math. This un-timed, computer-based, multiple-choice test takes approximately two hours to complete.
  8. 8. register for classes After testing you will meet with Lisa Whitney or Dennis Unger to schedule classes for the upcoming semester and sign up for the new student orientation. If you have a documented disability meet with Lisa Whitney, Student Services Coordinator to request accommodations.
