Early Childhood Development

 1. 1. Sara Newman May 4, 2009
 2. 2.

Early childhood care is the keystone in the building blocks of a child’s life. When is there a better time to make good impressions with children and teach them right from wrong? In my opinion, young children, mainly those from pre-school to Kindergarten, need more guidance, and more love from their caregivers than any other time in their life. My heart is with children among these ages. In society children do not always come from homes with a mommy and a daddy. They do not always come from homes where food is on the table and maybe not even a warm bed to sleep in. To me, teachers to young children hold the most important place to society. These people should heal that brokenness between families, and be the bridge to keep things flowing.

In this assignment, the focus will be what teachers can do to make caring for young ones a safer and more fun environment.

 3. 3. Click on picture to be directed. This website offers information from all questions one might have for younger children. Not only is the information on this website insightful, the information has all been gathered from experts who have founded this site. There is everything from statistics to information on the swine flu. There is much on the relationships between parents and teachers at the beginning stages of life. Many articles are given on various topics. The section I found most useful for myself was “Critical Issues.”
 4. 4.

What issue does society deal with most in early development?

The answer is: Many issues!!

What is most important for the future teachers of America to remember about early childhood development?

The answer is: Many things!!

What should we focus on in early childhood?

The answer is: Many things!!

When deciphering what issues are important when dealing with young ones, there are many places to begin! Preventing Violence , Early Childhood Literacy , and Strengthening Families are just a few important areas that deserve focus.
 5. 5.

After looking through this website many times, I believe it contains very informative facts and answered questions. I believe it would be a great reference site for future purposes. This website may also be useful for teachers today to refer to when they have questions. It may also be good for them to brush up on important things to remember about children if they have been working with them for a long time.

 6. 6.

Sometimes it’s useful to have a site that offers the latest news that deals with children! This website has the latest news, activities, and fun things for children to do. This would be perfect for Pre-School or Kindergarten teachers to refer to!

Click to visit site.
 7. 7.

This site is divided into four sections: early childhood news, classroom ideas, teachers resources, and professional resources.

There are many things that anyone can access here. There are craft ideas and articles on current issues.

 8. 8.

It is a proven fact that when children’s minds are not being stimulated, then they lose interest and do not learn. Even a small craft is simple enough to teach young ones something. By the time children are in the 2 nd or 3 rd grades, they have probably already seen the same ideas. By looking through different ideas, the teacher can hopefully gain more interest and keep everyone’s minds stimulated for learning!

Click on picture for cheap spring crafts for children.
 9. 9.

This website enables more than just teachers to inform themselves of information. Also, there is much more offered here than other sites I have previously discussed. Different subjects are given as tabs, and therefore can be clicked on for more information. There are three different areas of journals one can read from there of information.

For example, your child has not been acting normally, if you go to this website you can search the disorders and see if any symptoms fit your child.

Click for more information.
 10. 10.

How important is it?

What do we know?

What can be done?

According to experts.

These are the four areas that one can look through for more information on this particular topic.

 11. 11.

Online Journals are one of the newest ways to help others by putting your ideas on the net. There are various places to gain information.

The Graph to the left demonstrates the three things that are important in the upbringing of children. This is just another fact that I learned from this website.
 12. 12.

This site was probably the most user-friendly and easier site to navigate. There were many issues and concepts to research and look over. I really liked this website because it gave many realistic issues to explore.

 13. 13.

If parents, teachers, principals, day-care workers, and anyone else who dealt with children did their part, we could change the next generation considerably. The articles and websites I discussed through this give many details and things we could all do to change the lives of children.
