  7. 7. Northern Mockingbird <ul><li>Florida’s State Bird </li></ul><ul><li>Able to “mock” the songs of dozens of other birds </li></ul><ul><li>Extremely aggressive and territorial towards all other living species, including humans </li></ul>
  8. 8. Bald Eagle <ul><li>USA’s National Bird </li></ul><ul><li>Largest populations in Florida and Alaska </li></ul><ul><li>Feeds primarily on fish </li></ul><ul><li>Females often larger than males </li></ul>

Bird Conservation <ul><li>Florida has set aside millions of acres of land to help protect Florida’s birds and other animals </li></ul><ul><li>Federally protected species include the Bald Eagle and Florida Scrub Jay </li></ul><ul><li>Wildlife refuges and parks have been established to minimize human impact on many species </li></ul>
