  3. 3. I is for Illusional Snakes are hard to see when they are hidden in a bush because they blend in with their surroundings.
  4. 4. Snakes Family Tree •A Rattle-snake (Water Moccasin) •Water Moccasin (Copper Head) •Bushmaster (Rattle Snake)
  5. 5. M is for Metabolism Snakes have fast metabolism that way every time they eat they can digest it.
  6. 6. N is for nervous System A rough scaled snake’s poison goes straight to the nervous system and kills them in a matter of minutes.
  7. 7. U is for Underground Snakes take shelter in burrows that are abandoned. They may hide in prairie burrows or gofer burrows.
  8. 8. W is for World Elapids are some of the most feared snakes in the world. Their venom will kill you in a matter of seconds.
  9. 9. Q is for Queensland The Rough Scaled snake lives in the creeks and rivers of Queensland. When a prey pass they launch out and attack.
  10. 10. A is for Amniotic Egg The amniotic egg isn’t fertilized by sperm, but is fertilized inside a female’s womb.
  11. 11. D is for Deaf All snakes cannot hear very well so they use their tongue to sense their surroundings.
