    They are a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
    They were the first Canadian rock band to have a number one hit in the United States.
    They werealso known as The Silvertones, The Reflections, Chad Allan and the Expressions Origin
    The genre of their music is blues rock, hard rock, jazz rock and classic rock.
    They have been playing music since 1965-1975, 1977-present

  • 4. Chad Allan
    Chad Allan was born March 23,1943 in Winnipeg. His first band was called Allan and The Silvertones, which was formed while attending Miles MacDonell Collegiate in the late 1950’s. While being in that group he was the lead singer, rhythm guitar, songwriter and occasionally the drummer and pianist. While in this group they kept changing the names until they finally came up with one to keep, which is “The Guess Who.” So he was the creator of The Guess Who.

    Over the past 44 years the band has had 37 different people join the group because some of the crew quit.
    Actually two of the first people of The Guess Who have stayed in the band! Those twp people are…Jim Kale and Garry Peterson. They have been in the group for the long 44 years.
