    Tea is important in the daily life of the Chinese people.
    Tea contains caffeine, pigmentation, aromatic oils, vitamins, minerals and protein.
    Chinese people drink tea at home and at work to quench their thirst, and refresh themselves.
    Tea is also used as a medicine in cooking and as a sacrificed offering.

    Chinese tea is an important part of Chinese culture.

  • Types of Tea
    Tea can be divided into three categories, green tea, black tea, and wulong tea. Green tea is unfermented, black tea is fully fermented, and wulong tea is half fermented. There is also flower scented tea with jasmine tea being the most popular. Different teas have different characteristics.

  • Ways to enJOy TEA
    One way is drinking, and other is tasting. Weaker tea is drunk for refreshment and to quench thirst. Strong tea is for tasting.
  • Tea sets
    Tea set for tasting includes of a small tray shaped like a shallow bowl, a small tea pot and four small cups. Each tea cup holds around 15 to ml of tea, and the tea pot makes just enough to fill four cups. The tray is filled with hot water after the tea is made so as to keep the tea warm.
  • Tea as Medicine
    Tea is also used as medicine. It helps soothe the body and relax.
    They also make tea out of herbs which are used as medicine.
  • Where is Tea drinken
    Tea is both drunken at work and home. It helps quench your thirst while also soothing and calming your body.
