  • 1. The Phases of the Moon Ryan
  • 2. New Moon
    • You cannot see the Moon when it is a new moon
    • When it is a new moon, the light is on the other side of the moon
  • 3. Crescent Moon
    • You can see a small part of the Moon.
  • 4. First Quarter Moon
    • In this phase, the Moon is half way in the light.
  • 5. Waxing Gibbous Moon
    • During the part of the Moon phase, the Moon is almost full.
    • You can see a lot of the Moon because the Sun is facing the Moon.
  • 6. Full Moon
    • This is the 5 th phase of the Moon.
    • The Sun is facing to the front of the Moon and you can see half of it.
  • 7. Waning Gibbous Moon
    • The Moon is getting smaller as it turns away from the Sun.
  • 8. Last Quarter Moon
    • The Moon is getting smaller and smaller as it faces away from the Sun.
    • The last quarter moon is just like the first quarter moon because they both show a quarter of the Moon.
  • 9. Crescent Moon
    • The side that was in the Sun's light has almost disappeared.
