  • 2. New Moon <ul><li>You cannot see the Moon when it is a new moon </li></ul><ul><li>When it is a new moon, the light is on the other side of the moon </li></ul>
  • 3. Crescent Moon <ul><li>You can see a small part of the Moon. </li></ul>
  • 4. First Quarter Moon <ul><li>In this phase, the Moon is half way in the light. </li></ul>
  • 5. Waxing Gibbous Moon <ul><li>During the part of the Moon phase, the Moon is almost full. </li></ul><ul><li>You can see a lot of the Moon because the Sun is facing the Moon. </li></ul>
  • 6. Full Moon <ul><li>This is the 5 th phase of the Moon. </li></ul><ul><li>The Sun is facing to the front of the Moon and you can see half of it. </li></ul>
  • 7. Waning Gibbous Moon <ul><li>The Moon is getting smaller as it turns away from the Sun. </li></ul>
  • 8. Last Quarter Moon <ul><li>The Moon is getting smaller and smaller as it faces away from the Sun. </li></ul><ul><li>The last quarter moon is just like the first quarter moon because they both show a quarter of the Moon. </li></ul>
  • 9. Crescent Moon <ul><li>The side that was in the Sun's light has almost disappeared. </li></ul>
