  • Functionality Savings Estimate
    • Web Conferencing
      • Many companies that have spend with other web conferencing vendors can either eliminate or reduce the spend on external web conferencing, particularly for internal only meetings. This does require that a company would build out and maintain a server infrastructure for on-premise web conferencing though. Savings calculation does not take that cost into account.
    $100-$300/year per user
    • Video Conferencing
      • OCS offers Video conferencing directly on the OCS Servers. The savings here are based on the number of users the company is evaluating for desktop video conferencing. Meaning that most companies today have not rolled out desktop video enterprise wide, but if they are evaluating such technology, OCS can save the intended spend on that technology, in favor of other initiatives the company might have.
    $100-$300/year per user
    • Audio Conferencing
      • OCS offers VOIP conferencing directly on the OCS Servers. It is most effective for 3-6 person conferencing calls internally and can replace external audio conferencing costs for ad-hoc and scheduled audio conferences for internal participants.
    $100-$200/year per user
    • Voice/VoIP/IP Telephony
      • Many companies are evaluating the purchase of IP station sets and IP Softphones for use to connect to an IP PBX. OCS can do this today, either through native integration, or through gateways and reduce the CAPEX on IP station sets and reduce or eliminate the CAPEX on IP softphones.
    $100-$300/year per user
    • Voice Mail
      • Many companies are looking at implementing new voice mail systems, sometimes with Unified Messaging. Exchange 2007 can be installed either as a standalone voicemail system or integrated with an existing Exchange deployment for integrated voicemail/email.
    $90-$100/year per user
    • Mobility over RIM
      • While there is an overlap in prices, RIM devices tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum while devices from Microsoft span and much larger spectrum and some devices can be higher than RIM. Overall cost savings come from lack of need for dedicates BES servers, and reduce OPEX per user that goes to RIM.
    $70-$100/year per user
