Project : Operational alignment with corporate strategy
Purpose : To support the growth strategy through proper alignment of all departments/units with the corporate strategic direction.
Solution : Using industry standard/best practice balanced scorecards , strategy maps and key performance indicators along with Millennia-Vision methodologies and tools
Role : educator/advisor and facilitator for developing department level descriptors, analysis of the inter-dependency and cause-effect chains , development of the department-level strategy maps , and investigation of the performance metrics and KPI’s in use at department level & their significance to the corporate
Purpose : To help the bank ensure proper coordination and execution a total of 150+ projects (including 57 IT projects) to launch the newest and largest bank in kingdom.
Solution : Program Management Office (PMO) on-site to help the bank manage corporate/department levels programs & projects necessary for the commercial launch of the bank
Role : Implementation and vendor coordination manager for the IT side (non-integration and integration vendors) to ensure the IT systems and services are properly integrated and tested per customer acceptance criteria.

Project : efficiency/effectiveness improvement
Purpose : To help the company get over its “ opportunity hunting/fire fighting “ ad-hoc model into a better structured and more proactive operational mode focused on desired results.
Solution : Revise current internal processes & procedures for potential performance bottlenecks, issues and barriers towards highly efficient & effective performance
Role : work with corporate level management and key departments to identify business model descriptors , key pain and gain issues , analyze the interdepartmental relations and dependencies, and propose an action road map for improvement
Purpose : To provide a new methodology, process and forms for new project requests, evaluation, approval and prioritization for execution
Solution : Devise a new framework based on the bank strategy to be the basis for newly developed process and associated forms to control and automate this procedure.
Role : Review current project management practice regarding project request and reflect the new changes/improvements on this practice in terms of process and forms. Revision of new and existing (unapproved) requests and help the different departments adopt the new method.
Project : Valuation of IT and business assets within the MasterCard center at the bank
Purpose : Facilitation of intended acquisition of the center by Visa Jordan
Solution : Purchase value, book value, replacement value of the IT assets (Servers, PC’s, network, printers, system software licenses, banking applications licenses, transaction gateways, special devices, …) plus the business aspects (revenues, operational expenses, profits, customer base, …)
Role : complete IT inventory review , validation and verification, market investigation, valuation assessment, business performance review with the center and the bank finance department, and final assessment.
Project : DW/BI vendor/response evaluation and selection
Purpose : To help the bank evaluate and select winning contender for a major DW/BI system implementation based on vendor/solution responses to an RFP for that system.
Solution : Devise a weighted scoring system for evaluation and assessment of the vendor responses to the subject DW/BI RFP
Role : Proposing the elements of the scoring system based on technical and commercial considerations for the different contenders for this business, execute the evaluation process , call for clarifications and vendor solution/proposal presentations and make recommendations accordingly
Purpose : To revise the ASEZA/MIS strategy for 2007-2012
Solution : A comprehensive strategy review was conducted using MV-DMD/MV-BTC methodologies and other MV internal techniques and tools including SWOT analysis for ASEZA internally and in comparison to neighboring competition .
Role : conducted the full review leading towards the revised ICT/IS strategy and action roadmap for top management review and consideration.

Project : Public Sector Innovation Center (PSIC) initiative
Purpose : To develop new breed of public sector applications on selected Microsoft technologies and platforms , launch these applications Government of Jordan ministries, and expand the use throughout ME/NA region.
Solution : Select target applications , decide on desired functionality , size the effort , recognize the assets value in these applications, estimate revenues, costs and profits over the estimated lifetime of these new applications
Role : local consultant role to work with the deisgnated team on this study and produce the desired report
Purpose : To secure imports from a list of selected countries where US imports goods from; Jordan included.
Solution : for container shipments , a special custom-built “black-box” was used to host a variety of sensory and communication devices to sense, monitor, measure, record and transmit any ‘abnormal’ conditions inside the container throughout the whole journey.
Role : work with local (Jordan) government (customs) and private entities (exporters) to ensure acceptance, understanding and proper dealing with this solution.

Project : Quick overall IT review
Purpose : To help EALB review its internal IT status in terms of hardware, software, technology obsolescence, in house skills, network/system management and work environment
Solution : The subject IT review was conducted on-site at the bank HO and it included site visits to sample branches , tailored questionnaires forms and meetings/interviews with key staff positions in the bank
Role : Full preparation and execution of the engagement leading to the formulation of the quick IT review report , findings and recommendations.
Client : Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) , Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Project : Y2K external review/audit and testing
Purpose : To help ISDB IT department ensure their Y2K remediation was conducted at its best including full system testing end-to-end.
Solution : Complete review of the application portfolio of the bank, Y2K remediation efforts , baseline input/output data and results, test scenarios and procedures, test data and expected results at all possible test points in the Y2K transaction path.
Role : Full preparation and execution of the subject engagement .
Purpose : To install totally redundant, fault tolerant and workload sharing LAN Gateway to IBM S/370 mainframes
Solution : A joint SBM/IBM LaGaude (France) implementation effort to implement the required gateway function with specially configured IBM 3172-001 gateways with S/370 channel adapters and 4 token-ring adapters each.
Role : That project was part of a 3-months consultancy engagement in Saudi Aramco CC&OS side following a very strong endorsement from Aramco (Andy Tauros)
Project : IBM 3745/3746 High-speed Fiber-Optic/Frame-Relay Wide Area Network (WAN) Implementation
Purpose : To install middle-east first high-speed WAN/LAN using fiber-optic and frame relay network covering 5 major locations in Saudi Arabia using IBM 3745/3746 as Token-Ring to IBM S/370 mainframe gateways
Solution : IBM 3745/3746 gateways with wide-area, local area and mainframe connectivity and special fiber optic G.703 interfaces.
Role : Design/configuration of the IBM 3745/3746 gateways, pre-sales support, implementation and after sales technical support.
Focus Area : Public Private Partnership (PPP) ventures
Description : Private sector steps in to cover for public sector shortages in funding and/or technical/managerial capabilities to provide badly needed public services on win–win basis for both sectors. Government entities will fulfill their mission in availing such services to the public and private sector has a profitable investment throughout the operational license period.
Description : Failing companies (specially family business entities in the GCC countries) are suffering the consequences of the current financial crisis and their own ‘personal/family’ style of running business calling for action to save and protect them from complete failure
Target Markets : Medium size companies in the GCC region suffering from the above situation and having no clue how to overcome their difficulties.
Value Proposition : Based on clear tangible, quantifiable and measurable results from this initiative, we will step in for a pre-determined period of time to save these entities for a percentage of their equity.
