Promoted via outdoor media at ski resorts and auto show’s across Canada. Interested consumers were asked to text in various keywords to 288288 from their mobile phones. Goals: To drive sales by supporting consumer enquiries and build a contactable database for VW Canada. magRESPONSE enabled consumers to request brochure’s, locate a dealer and book a VW joyride (test drive). Consumers could further use their mobile phone to view current VW models on a mobile internet site. For each text “opt in”, the consumer was awarded 1 ballot entry into a VW sweepstake to win a trip to BC. Consumers were able to get a direct call back from VW Canada – as opposed to wait in Call Centre queues. Keywords were further employed to measure the effectiveness of various advertising media.
