    • Both The Veldt and The Rain Will Softly Come use personification by givving the houses in both stories human like quailties.  For example in The Veldt : The house is wife and mother now, and nurse maid.

    • Both of Bradbury's stories were had a futuristic setting. One was about a house after a nucleur war, and the other was a family who's kids killed them.

    • In Bradbury's work death seems to always occur, but not always in the same way.  In The Veldt both parents die.  In The Rain Will Softly Come the house dies, or falls over and is destroyed.

    • All of Bradbury's stories are named after somthing in the story itself.  For example The Veldt is named after the theme of the nursery in the story. Also The Rain Will Softly Come is named after a poem in the story.
