    •   The music that once sounded strange has become so popular.  He has influenced other singers such as Sean Paul who was #3 on the reggae artist of the year. 
    • Bob Marley made the cover of the rolling stone magazine on march 10th 2005, it stated "he changed our world forever."
  • 3. Ozzy Osbourne
    • Ozzy Osbourne was born john Michael Osbourne in England in 1948.
    • He "was the lead singer of heavy metal pioneers black Sabbath." "They cranked up the volume" and recorded three album classic rock albums, black Sabbath, paranoid, and master of reality.
    • Ozzy left the band in 1979 and the fans followed him. Ozzy had many more successful albums but became well known for his crazy antics.
    • He once bit the head off a bat while on stage, and he was arrested in 1982 for urinating on the Alamo
    • Along with his family, his wacky life was exposed in 2002 in the MTV show the Osbournes.

    • Ray Charles is one of the most influential entertainers of   the last century.
    • His music is a blend of four different styles in one...They include r&b, country, gospel and jazz.
    • Some of today's most popular songs and beats have been inspired of taken from some part of ray Charles' music.
  • 5. Michael Jackson/usher
    • Usher Raymond is one of the many talented R&B artists who were inspired by “The King of Pop,” Michael Jackson.
    • Through Usher’s style of dress to his clever dance moves, he evolved from his inspiration, Michael Jackson.
  • 6. Usher/ Michael Jackson
    • Usher Raymond’s “confessions” album, fourth album, broke an R&B record. The album sold 1.1 million the first week and continues to sell approximately one million each month. Confessions has sold eleven million  copies worldwide • “my way” album earned six times platinum in the united states • “you make me Wanna”, nice and slow”, and “U remind me” all made #1 on R&B charts.
    • Usher won a total of eight Grammy’s Michael Jackson has set many records throughout his career and won many awards.
    • Usher has yet to continue making his mark and to follow the legendary Michael Jackson. Michael lesson perseveres through the work of usher Raymond.
  • 7. Avril Lavigne
    • Avril Lavigne made it in the music industry for bold and unique fashion.  Avril started the fashio0n trend of tank tops and ties.  This punk princess made a statement for herself and encouraged others to develop their own sense of style.
    • If there is any way to put sound with each person could you use bob Marleys song "Jammin," and Avril's "skater boy."
  • 8. Justin Timberlake
    • Started off as Mickey Mousketeer and moved into the boy band craze, leading popular NSYNC into the new millennium.
    • Known as a ladies man, he branched off the boy band group into his own successful solo career in the early 2000's.
    • Most controversial stunt took place at the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, when Justin "accidentally" ripped off a piece of Janet Jackson's top, exposing her.
    • Dated fellow MMC member, Britney Spears but is now hooked up with actress Cameron Diaz.
    • Endorsed McDonalds, belting out "I'm lovin it" on airways worldwide.
  • 9. Jennifer Lopez
    • J lo is a talented actress and pop artist
    • Influenced girls with having a bodacious and curvy body
    • She has her own clothing line and her fashion from her sunglasses to her perfume has made an impact on her fans
  • 10.
    • Good charlotte is a band consisting of five guys Benji, Joel, Paul, Billy and Chris
    • The genre of their music is mainly punk rock
    • Some of their album titles are the chronicles of life and death, the young and the hopeless, and predictable
    • Punk rock is a type of music with harsh or offensive lyrics that usually expresses anger or alienation
    • They influence a lot of young kids through their style of music and clothes
    • They wear a lot of black clothing, dyed hair, and tattoos -they attract alternative and punk rock audiences
  • 11. Linkin Park
    • The band Linkin park is known for its combination of old-school hip-hop, classic rock, and electronica.
    • After being turned down three times Warner bros. Signed the band in 1999 and they started to work on their first album called hybrid theory.
    • The album resembled music that was influenced by bands such as nine inch nails, the Deftones, and the roots. Singles such as “crawling” and “one step closer” made waves across radio stations and MTV’s popular television show TRL.
    • Their second album Meteora hit #1 in the united states and the united kingdom. Along with touring in Ozzfest Linkin park has collaborated with other artists such as jay-z, and received awards for artist of the year, song of the year, and best group.
  • 12. Gwen Stefani
    • Early pioneer to the punk rock scene, standing as the lead singer of no doubt.
    • Has been compared to the independent styles, both musically and materialistically, of Madonna.
    • Launched her own clothing line, L.A.M.B., Which is the acronym for her first solo album love.Angel.Music.Baby.
    • Is fascinated with young trendy Japanese style, especially in well known Harajuku girls. Harajuku girls are mentioned in many of her songs and she even has 4 Japanese Harajuku backup dancers.

    • Lead in MTV reality show, the newlyweds, with husband nick Lachey, lead singer of 98 degrees. They also starred in one time event the nick & Jessica variety hour.
    • Known for her natural beauty and powerful voice, but even more so for her ditzy remarks on the show.
    • Has scored many celebrity spokesperson jobs since the show launched. Such companies include pizza hut, chicken of the sea, and her own fragrance line.
    • Will star in blockbuster remake of dukes of Hazaard.

    • Christina received a gay & lesbian alliance against defamation (GLAAD) honor for her "beautiful" music video.
    • She also portrays through her video a stress on positive attitude of self-image.

    • Eminem aka Marshall Mathers or slim shady is a talented, outspoken rapper.
    • He uses his music as an outlet and emulates that through his lyrics.
    • There is much controversy because of Eminem's lyrics
    • However, this is only because he strongly believes in the freedom of speech.
    • He has his own clothing line, which influences fashion
    • He made a movie called " 8 mile ", which shows the hardships of fulfilling dreams.
    • Influences society to not be afraid to be yourself.
  • 16. Britney Spears
    • Was the first in the new string of female pop stars.
    • Broke barriers by showing off her midriff, along with a belly button ring.
    • Became a role model for girls of all ages.
    • Received most the blame for provocative clothing, even though other female pop stars dressed the same way.
    • Launched her own fragrance, curious.
    • She's only 22 and has released 5 albums, including a greatest hits, and went on to sell millions of each album.

    • He was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He was told his odds of survival were not good, but made it through the cancer that had also spread to his lungs and his brain. Soon after being diagnosed with cancer, he started the lance Armstrong foundation.
    • “ Before cancer I just lived. Now I live strong.” Lance Armstrong.
    • There are over 40 million people around the world that wear a LIVESTRONG  wristband to support people living with cancer.
    • He has since went on to win six tour de France titles.

    • David Beckham  - the highest paid and most famous soccer player ever- David Beckham is more than a superstar footballer for real Madrid.  Blessed with good looks, a pop star wife and a talent for self-promotion, he is among the world's most influential fashion icons.  Being David Beckham is now a lifestyle for many people- his cornrow hairstyle, a series of parallel small plaits pulled tightly to the head, is the latest trend-setting cut that have included a Mohegan, a skin head and an Alice band in the past two years- he helped usher in the age of the metro sexual with his impeccable clothes and consummate grooming .

    • The Oprah Winfrey show is watched by about 30 million viewers a week in the united states, and can be seen in 111 countries. - Oprah's book club has influenced readers' book selections, and her recommendations become best-sellers in no time.  "Oprah's favorite things" also influence buyers' shopping. .
    • The Oprah Winfrey foundation helps children across the world receive an education.  Oprah has developed schools, awarded scholarships to children, and donated money to other organizations promoting education.  Oprah's angel network has raised nearly $27 million for non-profit organizations throughout the world.
    • Oprah proposed the national child protection act in 1991, which president Clinton signed into law as the "Oprah bill".

    • He first became an established filmmaker in 1999 with his box-office hit, “The Sixth Sense”.
