  • 2. Christening is when they decide to become a member of the worldwide Christian family and Thank God for their gift of life. It means to become or to make someone a christian. It's been a while since i attended a christening ceremony and so just a week ako i attended one of my friends son's christening and found out some important imformation that i will share. I hope you enjoy :)

      They had consecrated the water with the sign of the cross and with the holy chrism and emerged the body of baby into the water three times.

      Things They had on Christening Day
    • Cross necklace
    • 5. 2 white towels
    • 6. Christening Gown
    • 7. 2 candles
  • 8. The baby is not conscious of what takes place at his christening and why are all the people gathered in the church.
  • 9. With a singing the priest poured Holy Muron into the palm of his hand and he sealed to the child's forehead, eyes, ears, nostrils, hands, back and feet to protect the child's sight, thought, words, and service from the influences of evil in the world.
  • 10. The Baby's parents chose the Godparents and they were very responsible and caring. They were making promises that they will take care of the child whenever the parents are unable to provide thir child the best.
  • 11. During the ceremony the Priest asked the baby's Godfather "what does the child request ?" He answers: Faith, hope,love and Christening
  • 12.
      They celebreted in a banquet hall and there were a lot of people .
  • 13. The End of a very beautiful Christening Ceremony.
