Mariyah And Rachel Stars Presentation - Presentation Transcript
STARS By Marz and Rachi
The Star is a massive luminous ball of plasma which is held together by gravity. The nearest star is the sun. Even though stars look still at night, they are constantly moving, never stopping. The color of stars can range from red to white to blue. The largest known star is the monster VY Canis Majoris. This star is thought to be 1,800 times the size of the Sun; it would engulf the orbit of Saturn! In this presentation, we are going to mainly focus on the stars life cycle and different constellations
the LIFE CYCLE
Constellations
The constellations are totally imaginary .The real purpose for the constellations is to help us tell which stars are which, nothing more. On a really dark night, you can see about 1000 to 1500 stars. Trying to tell which is which is hard. The constellations help by breaking up the sky into more manageable bits. They are used as memory aids. The big dipper is one of our biggest constellations and is located in the northern hemisphere.
