    • Both Territories, although in opposing hemispheres, are at the same distance from the Equator, in parallel 32, Madeira to the North and South Africa to the South, thus sharing the characteristics of a Subtropical climate ;
    • The difference between time zones of the two countries is only one hour in Summer, eliminating this way the threat of jetlag ;
    • The Island of Madeira is close to the half way mark between Northern Europe, Northern America and South Africa;
