What is the difference between GIF, JPEG, WMF? A JPEG (Joint Photographic Expert Group) file is used to compress large photographic images to a more space saving size. GIF(Graphics Interchange Format) is used to compress data however its limitation is that it can only have file sizes of a 8-bit format which has a max of 256 colours. WMF (Windows Metafile Format) is used to exchange graphical information between windows applications. It is the most useful file format as it can handle both vector and bitmap images

Why uni is great? It gives you freedom to have a great time and make choices for yourself, basically it makes you INDEPENDANT! There are lots of great socials such as Frisbee Society which involves ALOT of drinking (for FREE) If you don't drink don't worry there are still lots of great places to eat and socialise.

Kash’s Best Memory So Far When I went clubbing for the first time and got to see all my friends dancing ridiculously, making fools of themselves. It was a night to remember because I got to see a different side to people.

Saika’s Best Memory So Far Before coming to university I was worried that I would find it difficult to make friends and settle in but it has been the complete opposite. I have brilliant flat mates with which I have bonded really quickly its like we've known each other for years. That why I would have to say that celebrating one of my flat mates birthday was a great night because we threw her a surprise party which she completely not expecting and really appreciated. It was a great night out with some people that I know will become my friends for life.

The Academic Side to Uni Leeds University is a Russell group university which means it is one which dedicates a lot of time and money into research. This is very useful as it provides great opportunities especially to BMSC students in being able to be at the forefront of learning about new techniques being implemented in scientific research. As a part of this we have already been exposed to opportunities a work experience in laboratories during to the summer which is PAID as well as really interesting and relevant to our chosen field of study.

Leeds University is a Russell group university which means it is one which dedicates a lot of time and money into research. This is very useful as it provides great opportunities especially to BMSC students in being able to be at the forefront of learning about new techniques being implemented in scientific research. Our PaintShop Pro Images In this image I used the blemish removal tool in order to improve the completion by removing any fine lines/wrinkles. (Saika) Using my poor drawing and colouring skills, I managed to invert the colour of the picture and add a stick man with an arrow. (Rick) I selected a picture of a friend and used the warp brush effect to slightly distort his face and used red and white to flood fill his face.
