  • 1. Biodiversity in the Deciduous Forest By Benjamin
  • 2. Why is it Important
    • Biodiversity is what keeps an ecosystem running. It allows for the food chain to work. We need all five groups of animals and plants to complete a food chain.
          • Producers
          • Primary Consumers
          • Secondary Consumers
          • Quaternary Consumers
          • Decomposers/Scavengers
  • 3. What Causes Biodiversity Loss
    • Humans are the main cause of biodiversity loss.
    • A lot of humans live in cities by forests.
    • This pollutes the air with car fumes and factory waste, killing a LOT of plants which, in turn kills the primary consumers.
    • Then it goes down the chain and ends up killing the whole forest.
  • 4. How that Affects Us
    • When the deciduous forest dies out, we lose our source of wood and food.
