  3. 3. Oklahoma’s state bird, flower and tree <br />Oklahoma’s state bird is a scissor-tailed flycatcher.<br />Oklahoma’s state flower is a Oklahoma rose.<br />Oklahoma’s tree is a redbud.<br />
  4. 4. Native Americans and early settlers<br />The first native Americans were mound builders. The Cherokee nation awarded Chief Sequoya a medal and a lifetime pension for his contribution to Cherokee culture.<br />
