Cadets will be able to identify and understand features on a map. 2. Cadets will be able to plot points using the 8-digit grid coordinate and a protractor. Verify Drift 2. Retrain cadets who lack understanding of basic Land Nav tactis 3. Correct any deficiencies found and guide MSIII IOT ensure an understanding for Land Nav is gained </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Retrain those individuals unable to find first point after two attempts </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Conduct day two training in regular fashion. </li></ul><ul><li>Conduct Patrolling lanes to prepare MSIII for LDAC </li></ul>LAND NAV 24-25FEB12 Uniform – Eye Pro, LBE. C/I- S4- 10 water cans, Packing List, Compasses (spare), Protractors (spare), 3 Tables, 8 Chairs, Flashlights (spare), 200 Lane Sheets (Day and Night), 200 Zip-lock bags, 75 Chemlights (if applicable), 50 Trash Bags, 10 Handheld Radios with charging station and 1 spare battery for each (if applicable),10 Sharpie Markers, 2 Air Horns, Tent, Pencils (spare), alcohol wipes, eye pro (spare) Standard- To train IAW the below references References: FM 3-25.26 Mission: It is the mission of MSIII cadets to conduct Day and Night Land Navigation training NLT 1100 24-25FEB12 IVO Ft. Spend large amounts of time in hammocks, and playing guitar seated with legs crossed. While not a threat to the mission they serve no benefit and should be avoided. If seen early in the morning increase level of running cadence volume and continue training.

It is often their first exposure to Army life on an active Army installation and one of the few opportunities where Cadets/candidates from various parts of the country undergo a common, high-quality training experience.
