Gregory Mancuso’s photos are sold worldwide for advertising, editorial and corporate usage through several stock photography agencies. His collection of dance images, DANCE ILLUMINATIONS, was showcased in a solo show at the Canon Gallery in San Francisco. He also created a book on San Francisco’s diverse neighborhoods entitled IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS, published by Chronicle Books. Several times his photographs have won awards from Communication Arts.
Though his first love is photography, Gregory’s involvement in related creative mediums brings a trunk full of extra skills and a multi-faceted artistic approach to your projects. He has directed a couple of TV commercials and worked as an assistant director for several feature films. And if you’re a writer, you’ll appreciate the fact that he’s a comrade-in-words. Besides writing several magazine articles, he’s also written numerous screenplays, actually sold a few, has a feature film credit (“One Good Turn”) and was represented by the prestigious ICM agency. These days his spare time is spent working on a novel.
Born and raised in New York City, Gregory attended the University of Massachusetts and Syracuse University and received a Journalism/Photography degree. His professional career began as a staff photographer for Gannett newspapers in New York. He started his freelance business the next year in San Francisco and ten years later moved to the Los Angeles area where he’s currently based. less
