jagslidespace: BIOIMPULSE is a new magazine launched for 'platforming' new concepts into reality for Indian startups.

There is felt-need of universities from Tier-II and Tier-III cities, to work out their strategies well in consonance with global realities and prepare their students for being part of 'biotech or bioinformatics or clinical trial revolution'. Some of them have 'woke up' with 'biotech or knowledge park or business incubation' dreams and are trying to be part of global revolution. On 13 September, 2007, Guru Jambeshwar University of Scinece and Technology at Hisar in Haryana jumped in this bandwagon to create a 221-acre strong 'Knowledge Park', which the Chief Minister of Haryana himself announced lending credence to the concept floated by Dr Jagveer Rawat on 8 March, 2003 in co-chairing a session on 'Knowledge Management in Bioenterprises' and which was made reality by Dr R P Bajpai, current Vice-chancellor and a nanotechnology Guru.

Question is that such events would keep on happening at regular level but would that be easy for any of them or many of them to attaract right kind of companies and how to judge their capabilities as business incubators or biotech park people? It requires whole set of thinking as we are aware that TIER-II and -III cities were left out of the IT Revolution. Biotech Revolution might also not repeat history? And, that is what this segment would strive to address.

Another, stream of startup is for a growing field of 'antibody technology' companies in India.

There could be a stream of clinical trial and transgenic animal oriented startup, which could be incubated very well, surprisingly with the help of 'not so much thought of', Veterinary Colleges in India, who produce excellent trained 'woman power'!
