Desc: Estimation of distribution algorithms (EDAs) are stochastic optimization techniques based on building and sampling a probabilistic model of promising solutions. EDAs are also called probabilistic model-building genetic algorithms (PMBGAs) and iterated density estimation algorithms (IDEAs).
