Desc: Deepavali, or Divali, (Markiscarali) is a major Indian festival, and a significant festival in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism. Many legends are associated with Diwali. Today it is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs across the globe as the "Festival of Lights," where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every human being.

grahairs: To all my Indian Friends... and indeed all friends...

May this Diwali be as bright as ever for you...
May this Diwali bring you joy, health and wealth.
May the festival of lights brighten up your life.
May this Diwali bring you the brightest love that you have ever wished for.
May this Diwali bring you peace and prosperity.
May lights triumph over darkness.
May peace transcend our earth.
May the spirit of light illuminate our world.
May the light that is Diwali show us the way and lead us together along a path of peace and social harmony.

WITH MY BEST WISHES TO ‘YOU & YOUR FAMILIES’ FOR A HAPPY DIWALI

OliverDing: Welcome to "Diwali" group on Slideshare.

Diwali is a tradition from India.

Diwali is celebrated on the first day of the lunar Kartika month, which comes in the month of October or November. 2008 date is October 28.

Today it is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs across the globe as the "Festival of Lights," where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every human being.

I like culture of India very much. Music, dance, sculpture, architecture, food and more... I wish I could visit India in the future :)

Also, Slideshare has a development team in India, I also like Slideshare very much. Thanks to people behind this great community.

Join this group, enjoy the global Festival of Lights.

Many thanks!
