    • Draft Communications Plan for Grandview District SAPPurpose: The communications plan for the Grandview District will serve 2 primary functions. Firstwill be for the storage of information to maintain one central public electronic location for alldocuments related to the Grandview District SAP. Second, the communications plan will addressoutreach efforts needed to gather information from the public including business owners and keystakeholders for the project. JuneStorage: • Nominate 1 person to interact with City Communications Department to be responsible for all interaction and updating of information • Draft a one paragraph summary for website outlining SAP process (above the fold summary) • Work with City to organize 2010 work into one location under Planning Commission Section, and begin populating all 2011 meeting information in chronological fashion • Storage of all supporting or “playbook” materials (i.e. maps, traffic counts, current ownership, Park Board Survey, Edina inventory of current enterprises, historical context, etc.) • Jennifer Bennerotte (JB) to establish one single link for locating information: www.CityofEdina.com/GrandviewOutreach: • Gain Executive Committee approval for entire Communications Plan • Present final communications plan at June 16 Steering Committee meeting for approval • Encourage all members of current Committees & applicable Boards and Commissions to sign up for City Extra and establish a subscription for Grandview District SAP (currently subscription reads Public Works Site Redevelopment Process, work with JB to change for consistency) • Encourage all Facebook and Twitter users to “Like” or “Follow” City of Edina • Engage Edina School Board with Communications Plan in person or via School Board Rep • Engage applicable Boards and Commissions with updates JulyStorage: • Website should be completely updated and Grandview link is working by July 1 • All inquiries for information are always directed to websiteOutreach: • Summer Intern Grandview “walkabout” o Develop flyer with SAP purpose o Send intern to every business to introduce concept and collect business cards with emails o Staff to log all emails into a single Grandview District Business email list • Develop Survey Monkey to be distributed via City of Edina website, City Extra, personal email lists and social media sites • Research http://edinacitizenengagement.org/ to determine possible use • Research Bar Code approach for Smart Phones • Prepare for Edina Night Unite which is Aug 2nd o Provide a handout or something for groups who are registered in neighborhoods near Grandview District
