Branko Greganovic gave a lecture at a Management Accounting conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia in September 2010. The lecture explains why management accounting initiatives sink in the triangle between traditional financial accounting, information technology and general management. Branko claims introducing effective management accounting / business intelligence initiatives requires a change of the management’s mind set rather than simply a change of a tool to produce analytical reports and goes on to identify a limited numbers of key structural pre-conditions of a successful management accounting initiative.
