2. Need of Research
• Limiting Factor Flowering Process Decreasing Accumulation of Stevioside in
Leaves
• Flowering Process could be controlled with modification of photoperiodism
• Red Light Inhibit Flowering in Xanthium (Taiz & Zeiger, 2002)
Blue Light Affect Flowering in Arabidopsis (Taiz & Zeiger, 2002)
• High sweet intensity 150- 400 X sucrose
• Low calorie
• Noncarcinogenic
• Highest component Stevioside (5 – 10 % dry leaf)
(Isdianti, 2007 ;Kinghorn, 2002:Savita dkk, 2004)
Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni)
Contained sweetener compound in the leaves
steviol glycosides
( diterpenoid glycosides) (synthesized from methylerythritol- 4- phosphate (MEP) pathway)
3. Aim of Study
• To evaluate whether the parameters of growth and
development of the stevia plant, such as plant height and
weight, total sugar content, and accumulation of steviol
glycosides compounds, especially stevioside, could be
influenced by the three photoreceptors.

9. Conclusion
• Exposure to red, blue, and white light affects some growth
parameters, namely height and dry weight increment of
plants, plant development (Flowering), and plant metabolism
(Sugar and Stevioside content).
• Blue light exposure causes plants to exhibit the highest
height increment rate and dry weight gain.
• Plants with red light exposure exhibit delayed flowering and
increased steviosida and total sugar content.

Good afternoon everyone, let me introduce myself, my name is muhammad rizky hanan putra, i came from school of life sciences and technology institut teknologi bandung, indonesia. Now, i will present to you the result of my research project, and the title of my research project is blablabla. I will start with why this research is needed
Penyebab manis adalah gugus hidroksil di senyawa. Sama kaya gugus keton yang buat manis fruktosa
The study conducted using 3 month stevia seedling. After aclimatized for one week, the plants being divided into 3 groups with light treatments that interrupted wiht light during the night for 2 hour, the groups are plants with red light treatments, blue light treatments, and white light treatments, and one group as a control that not interrupted with any light during the night. The treatment were being done for two weeks, and each week the growth parameter, heigh and dry weight, were measured, and after two week, the stevioside and sugar content within stevia leaves were analyzed.
These are the output of my research project, in plant growth with height parameter, with these data, plants with red light treatments exhibit lowest height increment
And in the dry weight parameter data show that, plants with blue light display highest weight increment , while the plants with the red light show the lowest
For flowering comparison in fourteenth day, control and plants with white and blue light treatment enter the generative phase by producing the flowers, while in the plants with red light treatments, remain at vegetative phase
Sugar and stevioside analysis show that, Plants with red light treatments are higher on sugar 5 % compared to control group, and on stevioside content 90,5 % compared to control group.
