Learning Outcomes
Understand the importance of the factors involved in the earth and its
environment.
Scenario
The local council has asked the environment agency which you work for to
produce a report on how human and natural activity affect the earth and its
environment. The findings from this report will be used by the council to plan
strategies for protecting the local environment.
Tasks
P6 After carrying out research into the use of starting materials from the
earth and its environment, you are to prepare a document describing
how human and natural activity affects the earth and its environment.
You should include both sustainable and non-sustainable resources.
The report should also describe the effects of using chemical
substances.
M6 Using evidence gained from the document you have produced and
information from local sources you need to produce a report for the
council which explains the affect that human and natural activity has on
the earth and its environment.
D6 Using all the information you have gained, produce a document for the
leader of the council which evaluates the effects of human and natural
activity on the earth and its environment. This document should
include charts and graphs and if possible, photographic evidence.
