I started my career as a “hands on” electrician. Then through college night classes and university I moved from electrical engineering to digital engineering to IT - from building sites to IT manager in 5 years! While at the Royal Mail Technology Centre in Swindon one of my projects was creating a new London based service that combined electronic and printed communications. That project become the platform for Royal Mail Electronic Services Group which grew to four production centres across the UK offering transactional and marketing print, document scanning, hybrid mail, data encryption and e-billing services.
