Ancient Civilizations ReflectionMy Civilization: Ancient GreeceThe Research Journey:My favorite part of the research journey was taking notesbecause I learned how to take them with no capitalsand nopunctuation. My best research question was, “What are thelegacies of ancient Greece?” because legacy means we still use itnow and its still important today. While doing my research, Ifound it difficult to find out lots of information because therewere not many books about ancient Greece in our class room.Themost interesting thing I learned about the structure of societywas that in Sparta, men must join an army and only boys couldgo to school. I think that Alphabet is an important legacy ofancient Greece because we still use the alphabet.Report WritingI am proud of my report because I think there was a lot ofinformation in my report. While writing the report, I becamebetter at changing notes into sentences. If I wrote it again, Iwould improve my report by being more careful of my grammar.Archeology PresentationI enjoyed making my artifacts because we used a lot of clay thatI liked.I found it difficult to color on clay or wood because Ineeded to cover all the spaces but there was no space to hold it.Iam most proud of my head of javelin artifact because it was alegacy for ancient Greece.I enjoyed the archeology presentationbecause it was my first time to do a presentation. I found itdifficult to remember my speech. While preparing for thispresentation, I became better at giving speeches.
What else?During this unit I especially enjoyed making artifact because itwas really fun.I took extra time to finish up the book called MyResearch Journey. After this unit, I might continue to take notesto improve my note taking skills.
