  • 10. WHAT MAKES A VISION BIBLICAL? 1 REVELATION 1. SOURCE It originated from God. 2. BIBLE It has clear Biblical testimony. 3. PARTICULAR It applies here and now. 4. PERSONAL It is a personal story. 5. COMMUNITY It has apostolic confirmation. 6. FRUIT It produces change that evidences a work of God.

EXAMPLE To complete the task of seeing the gospel preached to every person BY • learning how to make and train REVELATION disciples who can also make and train disciples: THROUGH • Jesus-looking indiscriminate redemptive love, • teams that work together in  SOURCE one-ness  BIBLE • teams that are enabled by  PARTICULAR  PERSONAL apostolic equipping  COMMUNITY 1  FRUIT

PAUL’S UNFOLDING SPHERES OF WORK 2 DAMASCUS immediately ARABIA next SPHERE JERUSALEM when he visited Peter (3) ANTIOCH when Barnabas invited him (10) CYPRUS/GALATIA when commissioned by the church in Antioch (12) ASIA/MACEDONIA/GREECE when the church settled the issue about Gentiles and Jewish laws (16) ROME when he was arrested and after two years imprisoned in Caesarea (24) SPAIN after he was released because it was the next unreached region (26)
  • 14. LET THE VISION CHOOSE THE SPHERES 2 1. DoSPHERE it where you are as much as you can. 2. Go as far as you can with the revelation you have 3. As you are faithful with what you have God will give you further spheres. 4. Allow the original vision to shape the futher spheres 5. Start doing the work and let your faith and obedience discover the team and the apostolic equipping.
  • 15. PAUL’S EXPERIENCE OF TEAM 2 SPHERE Barnabas Leaders at Antioch Timothy Silas Luke Titus And many many others mentioned in the letters as “fellow workers.”
  • 16. TEAM 3 1. There is no such thing as a one person TEAM ministry 2. God has always spoken to other people about the things he has revealed to you. 3. These are people who share the same sense of call and responsibility to see the work accomplished 4. This team of people should be intentionally formed. 5. The team needs to discover the one-ness of the Father and Son (John 17)

  • 18. APOSTOLIC FOR PAUL 4 APOSTOLIC • The revelation he received directly from Jesus • Peter • The apostles in Jerusalem • The leaders at Antioch • James and the church in Jerusalem
  • 19. PERSONAL EXAMPLE 4 APOSTOLIC • Pastors I have worked under (Allan and Kay; Colin; Dan and Sue) • Leaders I have intentionally got to know and heeded (Pawson, Wimber, Silvoso, Boyd, T4T) • Groups of leaders I have belonged to (Wallace, Holmes, CCN, national, Crosslink etc.)
