• 1. The History of CBEUG
In the beginning (2007), the MSPs of Coimbatore were Arumugham and Abhishek Suresh. The upbringing of the Usergroup was because of Arumugham, Abhishek Suresh, Sundar Raman. It was inaugurated during the Developer Conference.
There were many MSPs in our city, but the ones who were active (in terms of participating in the user group) were
Sundar Raman
Ramakrishna
Arumugham Sankar
Abhishek Suresh
In the Beginning the Usergroup had only 250 students from our college. Right now we have around 3000 students who come under the usergroup. We would be putting up a proper structure and Our website is http://www.cbeug.org. We are also using the groups http://cbeug.groups.live.com/
We have right now around 12 College Campus Clubs under CBEUG. Proper Structuring and job roles would be defined to them in the coming weeks.
Right now in CBEUG all of the working members do not only belong to the MSP Community. We also have students who belong to various communities as, MCR , DB/2, FOSS, LeadCap, YUVA, Opera, Google etc. A concrete structure creation is still in process.
As of now this is the basic split up that we could vaguely do so far. We would submit the entire structure asap.
So far we have been organizing the following…
CSS – Coimbatore Student Summit: Students from various colleges participate in this event. Team of MSPs are the speakers.
PDC – Professional Developer Conference: Conference for the Professional Track. Microsoft Official would be invited for this event.
SDC or ACAD DEVCON– Student Developer Conference or Academic Developer Conferece: Similar to CSS, but on a larger scale. Microsoft Official and other state MSPs would be invited for this event.
YAForum – Young Achievers Forum: Interaction session between prize winners, achievers and students, a LeadCap initiative.
CBEUG Conference: Normal Conference in a college, Team of MSPs are the speakers.
CBEUG Workshop: Hands on Lab for a particular college or for a group of students from various colleges.
